Wortwirbel Outdoor-Lesebühne 🌞 Kurzgeschichten & Poetry im Stadtpark

The sun is shining and the park smells of flowers—what could be better than stories about blowflies, heartbreak, and stinky rubber boots?! 🌞

Make yourself comfortable on the lawn(preferably on the picnic blanket you brought along!) and, accompanied by birdsong and the clinking of bottle caps, listen to a wild rotation of young writers. They’ll take turns serving up a few short stories about everything that’s normal, abnormal, or paranormal! Meanwhile, the reading café in Stadtpark offers everything to quench your thirst, lift your spirits, and soothe your liver.
☝ And all of this is timed so that you’ll still have time for other weekend activities afterward(first “culture,” then partying?)!

Oh, and by the way: This isn’t a poetry slam. The readers have twice as much time and aren’t judged on points. But it’s also not an author reading where you’ll be listening to someone read from a 1,000-page novel for hours on end. Instead,you’ll get to hear slightly longer texts from poetry slammers (10 minutes instead of 5)—texts that would otherwise languish in a notebook—and you’ll also hear exclusive content fromup-and-coming authors who are testing their short stories on an audience beforethey might one day find their way into a book.

Since the event takes place outdoors,we’ll unfortunately have to cancel it in case of bad weather! Anyone who has reserved a free ticket will be automatically notified in this unfortunate event!

Also: The stories cover topics that are sometimes funny, but sometimes very serious as well. This hasn’t been a problem so far, but we therefore don’t recommend the event for children.
