WUCAN fits into the KufA house like a glove.
The steep rise of the Dresden heavy retro rock band WUCAN began out of nowhere in 2014. The band can now look back on considerable success. Their driving music full of personality is not only making waves in the scene. WUCAN draw inspiration from all kinds of genres and combine them in an electrifying way under the term HEAVY FLUTE ROCK. Psychedelic riffs, progressive song structures and not least Tobolsky's flute playing with recurring folk elements have delighted critics and fans alike.

We are all the more delighted that we were able to bring WUCAN to the KufA Haus for a show.

The band will continue to tour Germany in 2026 with their new album.

With "Axioms", WUCAN actually deliver their most mature work to date. On their fourth album, the four-piece heavy rock formation led by band leader Francis Tobolsky mixes the characteristic features of their three previous studio albums with fresh ideas, giving them a broader stylistic base and a more conceptually defined sound. In other words: In addition to the tried and tested cross-references to hard, kraut and eastern rock and metal influences, the current eight songs are characterized by an additional coloration ranging from progressive rock and occasional electronic elements to a playful jazz attitude.
