XXL SCHALLPLATTENBÖRSE Dortmund
In the organizer's words:
Traditional Dortmund Christmas Record Fair on December 26
For decades now, it has been an integral part of the Christmas season for many music fans, not just in the Ruhr region. We’re talking about the traditional Dortmund Record Fair, which always takes place on Boxing Day, December 26, at the Westfalenhallen.
On that day, 100 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will showcase over 1 million records spanning all musical genres—from good old vinyl records (= real music, not fleeting digital files) to the latest CD releases. The fair also features collector’s accessories and fan souvenirs. Even the latest vinyl records, fresh from the pressing plant, are surprisingly affordable.
So whether you’re looking for rarities or music on physical media for a bargain price, this event is a must for anyone with ears. It’s the perfect opportunity to trade any cash gifts you’ve received for records and treat yourself—or others—to a musical Christmas gift, even after the fact.
So be sure to stop by on December 26 (a holiday) at the Dortmund Record Fair in the Westfalenhallen (11 a.m.–4 p.m.).
