Explore one of the most hostile yet fascinating regions of our planet in the new 360° panorama at Panometer Leipzig - the ANTARCTIC.

In the latest panorama by Berlin artist Yadegar Asisi, you will travel to the southernmost continent. The focus is on the Antarctic coastal landscape - where glaciers, ice shelves and icebergs meet and unfold in a reduced color palette of white and blue tones.

The depiction plays with the waterline as the central perspective: mighty ice formations and icebergs tower above the surface, while the hidden life of the Antarctic with whales, seals and penguins becomes visible underwater.

Asisi's 32-metre-high panorama is the tenth in the Panometer Leipzig and the fifth in his series of nature panoramas (e.g. EVEREST, GREAT BARRIER REEF etc.).

Accompanying the panorama is an accompanying exhibition that highlights topics such as the geology, climate and wildlife of Antarctica and provides an insight into Asisi's personal travels to Antarctica through photographs, exhibits, sketches and paintings.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
Public guided tours take place several times a day. Various family tours are offered for children during the Saxon vacations.
