Yellow Days

Yellow Days comes to Germany for three shows in April 2024!

Yellow Days is the pseudonym of British musician George van den Broek, who is known for his raw and yearning indie sound. Born in Manchester and raised in Haselmere, van den Broek's musical endeavors began when he received a guitar for Christmas at the age of 11. With influences such as Ray Charles, Mac DeMarco and Thundercat, he began releasing independent singles as a teenager in late 2015. Following his debut EP "Harmless Melodies" (2016), Yellow Days continued to release singles regularly throughout 2017, some of which appeared on his debut album "Is Everything Okay in Your World?" in October 2017.

Early the next year, the single "Gap in the Clouds" reached a wider audience when it accompanied the trailer for the second season of Donald Glover's series "Atlanta". The musician's second work "A Day in a Yellow Beat" (2020) was mainly written and recorded in L.A., with van den Broek drawing new inspiration from local collaborators.

Yellow Days' next project was a series of three self-produced EPs released in 2022, containing a total of 17 songs. "Slow Dance & Romance" opened the series in April, "Apple Pie" followed in July, and "Inner Peace" closed the project in September. Conceived and recorded during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are intended to represent a catalog of his "mindset in lockdown".
