Nat Ćmiel were born in Singapore, live in London and are musically active under the name yeule. Since the multimedia artists use the pronouns they / them, we speak of them in the plural. In 2022 the album "Glitch Princess" was released and located yeule somewhere between shoegaze melancholy and a kind of slo-mo version of hyperpop. The always tasteful critics of "The FADER" called the record "a challenging work that doesn't shy away from bold pop moments" and Pitchfork counted "Glitch Princess" among the most important albums of the year.

yeule don't just operate with musical means, however, which is particularly evident at their concerts. Their songs are accompanied by exciting visuals, charged with new meaning, amplified and sometimes shot up. Then, in May, a new single of theirs was released, showing yeule on new paths. The shoegaze influence becomes more apparent on yeule, the glitch sounds move into the background. In their own words, "'sulky baby' was like an alternative rock shoegaze hybrid from the 2000s with a touch of sad satire. I felt like I was talking to a younger version of myself, stopping her from crying and looking back at the way I betrayed and neglected that innocence of myself." Yeule also revealed to Pitchfork magazine that a new album is in the works, to be released on Ninja Tune. It will sound like "emo for cyborgs" and "sweeter" than the albums before it, he said.
