Yoga-Fortbildung in Karlsruhe: Anatomie und Physiologie Basics (24h) • Yoga Alliance zertifiziert (YACEP)

In the organizer's words:

This two-day course combines in-depth anatomical and physiological knowledge with the practical experience of an in-depth yoga practice. You will learn how the body is structured, how it works - and above all, how yoga affects the skeleton, muscles, nervous system and internal processes. This creates understanding, aha moments and confidence: for your own practice, for your teaching or as a solid basis for future yoga training at be yogi.

Day 1: Anatomy - You dive deep into the structural foundations of the body:

  • Skeletal system, major bones & joint types
  • Important muscles for asanas
  • Types of muscle contraction & functional relationships
  • Anatomical safety in practice

This knowledge will help you to perform and teach asanas in a more conscious, precise and body-friendly way.

Day 2: Physiology - Here you will understand how yoga works internally:

  • Nervous system, stress responses (fight/flight/freeze), polyvagal theory
  • Mind-body connection
  • Cardiovascular, endocrine and digestive systems
  • Respiratory system, breathing mechanics & muscles involved in breathing

You will learn why yoga calms, strengthens and regulates - and how you can make targeted use of these effects.

Who is the training suitable for?

For yoga teachers, experienced practitioners and anyone who wants to delve deeper into yoga, body knowledge and self-practice. Also ideal as an introduction to yoga teacher training at be yogi. You don't need any previous knowledge of anatomy or physiology - just curiosity and a love of learning.
