Youngblood Brass Band

Youngblood Brass Band shatters conventions with an ecstatic, wild, and explosive blend of New Orleans brass, hip-hop, and punk attitude. What began as a classic brass band has evolved with Youngblood into a rousing sonic colossus brimming with groove, energy, and attitude.

The ten-piece ensemble, founded in Madison, Wisconsin, now brings together musicians from various parts of the U.S.—including New Orleans, Brooklyn, Nashville, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Since 1998, the band has been thrilling audiences worldwide with its genre-blending sound and unique live presence.

Few bands can claim to have been played by Questlove, to have collaborated with hip-hop greats like Talib Kweli and Mike Ladd—and still effortlessly thrill the audience at a punk festival.

The Youngblood Brass Band has led countless tours across the U.S. and internationally and has sold out concerts in more than 20 countries. Their festival history reads like a “Who’s Who” of the international music scene: Roskilde, Glastonbury, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, SXSW, CMJ, North Sea Jazz, WOMAD, and many more.
