In this "crime scene" in the form of a modern animal fable, the police horse Thoroughbred investigates. At a university where animals from various habitats study, the inauguration of a work of art has escalated. An ivory elephant statue has been destroyed and the police trainee and young stallion Remonte is missing. Why did the riots occur, who was pursuing what goals? The suspects show their teeth and claws ... Rector Niedlich, a tomcat who is worried about his educational enclosure, or the squirrel Zweihorn, who lives in precarious circumstances and whose scholarship has been canceled. Is the elephant Ezra, who fights against discrimination, behind this? How clean is the fur of the artist shrew Steinbeiß and the plumage of the politician Ursula Greif, who observes everything with eagle eyes? Vollblut reconstructs the opaque case and uncovers a secret political plan.
Intelligent and with bite, the play tells of origin and disadvantage, of possibilities for resistance, but also of personal responsibility in politically fragile times.
