This is a "crime scene" in the form of a modern animal fable: the head police officer, the experienced thoroughbred horse, starts an investigation. At a university where animals from different habitats study together and acquire civilization far from the wild, the inauguration ceremony of a work of art has escalated in an animalistic way. A precious ivory elephant statue was completely destroyed and the police trainee and young stallion Remonte has been missing ever since. Why did the protests and riots occur? Who had what intentions? The suspects show teeth and claws ... There is Rector Niedlich, a house cat who worries about the existence of his educational enclosure high up on his ladder. Or the squirrel Zweihorn, who comes from a precarious background and has had his scholarship canceled. Did the committed elephant and activist Esra, who fights for the interests of discriminated animals, initiate everything? How clean are the fur or feathers of the hip artist shrew Steinbeiß or Education Minister Ursula Greif, who belongs to the "Animal Protection Party" that has just come to power and who observes everything with her eagle eyes? Vollblut gradually reconstructs the opaque case by questioning witnesses, experiences surprises and uncovers a secret political plan.

Intelligent, exciting and with bite, the play by author Peter Thiers, born in 1991, tells of origin and disadvantage, of possibilities for resistance and self-empowerment, but also of personal responsibility in politically fragile times.
