Everything is manipulation! ZARAH LEANDER is an enigmatic myth, fascinating legend and still celebrated star - but at the same time a product of National Socialism. While her great films are slowly being forgotten today, the magic of her songs remains unbroken. In Peter Lund's play "Zarah 47 - Das totale Lied", we experience the diva's 40th birthday, which she spends completely alone on her country estate in Sweden in 1947. She reflects, lies to herself, perhaps to us too, but above all she revels in the music. ARANEA PEEL is herself a contemporary icon with the electropunk of her Europe-wide successful band "Grausame Töchter" and her interpretations of classic German chansons. She knows all too well that everything is manipulation.Together with director and musician Hans-Jürgen Osmers on the piano, she celebrates the songs without restraint and gives us an insight into a highly interesting artistic soul.
