So much is different and yet so much has remained the same. That sounds strange at first, but my path so far has been special anyway," zeck begins with a laugh. When he talks about the next chapter in his career, there is no hesitation, but a healthy respect for change and positive excitement in his words. After two fan-acclaimed and critically acclaimed EPs - "sorry, i've been asleep" and "Fatal Fragility" - the singer and songwriter is ready for his debut album.

"I came to music through so many coincidences that it almost feels strange to have a plan now," says zeck. It all started six years ago with a random gift, a guitar, even though he couldn't play at all. Zeck then taught himself, later jammed with friends in a relaxed atmosphere and wrote and sang the song "More" on one of these evenings. A few days later, they put it online for fun. No expectations, but a little curiosity as to whether, with a lot of luck, they might get 500 streams. There are now over 2 million on Spotify alone. "I saw the numbers, I was happy about the reactions, but it wasn't until the first live concerts that I felt I was in the right place," says zeck, adding: "That's the goal. To be on stage there. It's even bigger than I imagined. The energy and power that music has - to experience it all together with the audience is simply overwhelming."

With each release, the picture becomes more complex, the stories more personal, the themes more emotional. The EPs were created during the pandemic and tell of inner struggles, fears and longings. Zeck succeeds in interweaving serious themes with warm, feel-good sounds. And this is met with a lot of love from the audience. "The fact that people engage so intensively with my songs and feel similarly has given me a lot of motivation to keep writing and to be even braver in sharing my experiences. Especially topics that are not easy." In the new songs, zeck plays with styles, sounds and tempo. It's not about likes and clicks, but about shared experiences, an exchange of stories and inspirations. Even if it is less coincidences that now determine his path, decisions and new goals are made out of love for music. "I always think ahead to the moment when we will perform the song live. That has definitely influenced the songwriting."

The new chapter is heralded by the song "I Feel Love", which was released on August 4 as the first forerunner to the debut album. Intuitively, zeck begins where he left off with the last EP. "I Feel Love" was inspired by the reactions of the audience. "I was still in that state of not knowing exactly if I was in the right place at the time and then I just experienced so many beautiful moments. I am so grateful that people listened to me and were open to me and my songs. For me, that's the best thing you can take from it. The song is my declaration of love to the audience."

The single "I feel love" was released on August 4, followed by "stop the slowmotion" on August 25. The debut album will be released in spring 2024. The plan is set, the journey together can begin.
