In the organizer's words:

with Luna Haser (artist, Leipzig)

We invite everyone who would like to draw or learn to draw together to our drawing circle. Led by artists from Leipzig and the surrounding area, the circle enables an open exchange about the medium of drawing. Various techniques will be tried out: Sometimes closer to the traditional concept of drawing, sometimes further away from it.

From December to February, the drawing circle will be led by Luna Haser. Together with the participants, Haser will explore various materials and formal languages as well as their effect in dialog with other artistic positions. The focus is on forms and how they relate to each other. They approach each other, repel each other, communicate. Based on Luna Haser's own practice, in which painting and drawing are combined, she invites participants to explore this connection during the course.

The artist lives and works in Leipzig. For her, drawing means slowing down and repetition - slowly exploring the pictorial space, carefully feeling her way towards a pictorial statement. Her colored pencil line is fine and quiet, and yet when it thickens it can form a powerful surface. The accumulation of the line becomes a painterly gesture. Since a study visit to the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo in 2021, Haser has mainly worked with acrylic paint and colored pencil on canvas. In terms of content, her mostly figurative works often deal with the theme of being touched and being touched. By juxtaposing contradictions, she refers to the absurdities of everyday life and togetherness.

Haser studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and graduated as a master student in 2025. Her works are represented in the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden and have been shown at the Museum Gunzenhauser Chemnitz, the Landesvertretung des Freistaates Sachsen beim Bund, Delphi_space Freiburg, ODP Galerie, Kunstraum Ortloff, Galerie Gosh, Werkschauhalle and Thaler_Originalgrafiken, among others.
