Dominik Susteck will perform his organ cycle “Zeitfiguren” as well as Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major, BWV 547. Free admission.
Dominik Susteck’s work “ZEITFIGUREN” was commissioned by the Archdiocese of Paderborn in 2014 and musically explores the tension between human time and divine eternity. The cycle comprises the following six movements: “Strahlen” and “Leuchten” (interpretation of the divine), “Zeit” and “Warten” (depiction of the incomprehensibility of time), and “Verschlungener Gang” (reflection on the human lifespan). In addition, the program is framed by Johann Sebastian Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major, BWV 547.
