Brazilian Zouk Quickstarter in Freiburg – for absolute beginners

Are you looking for a new hobby, want to get some exercise, or simply want to meet open-minded people from Freiburg? Then you’re warmly welcome to join our Brazilian Zouk Quickstarter.

Brazilian Zouk is a smooth, flowing partner dance from Brazil. It’s not just about steps and figures—it’s about the music, learning together, and the joy of dancing with others.

Never danced Brazilian Zouk before? Perfect.

This Quickstarter was designed specifically for absolute beginners. You don’t need any prior experience, and you don’t have to have danced any other partner dance before.

You also don’t need a regular dance partner. Many people come alone. In class, we switch dance partners regularly, so you can easily dance with different people and get to know our warm and welcoming community.

Here’s what to expect

From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we’ll take the time together to learn the most important basics of Brazilian Zouk step by step.

You’ll learn your first basic moves, get a feel for the music, and discover how communication between the leader and follower works while dancing. Everything is explained clearly and repeated at a leisurely pace. Questions are always welcome.

It’s not about doing everything perfectly right away. You’re free to try things out, make mistakes, laugh, and discover the dance at your own pace.

After the Quickstarter, you’ll know the most important basics and have a solid foundation to move on to our Basic 2 class.

Maybe that afternoon you’ll discover not just a new dance, but also a new hobby and a place in Freiburg where you can quickly feel comfortable and at home.

Tickets and Limited Spots

Important: The Quickstarter is a paid workshop.

We intentionally keep our group small, limiting it to a maximum of ten couples. You can still participate on your own—a regular dance partner isn’t required.

Registering on this platform does not reserve a spot and does not replace a course ticket. You can purchase your paid ticket through our ticket shop.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We’ll show you everything else once you arrive.

During the Quickstarter, we’ll guide you through the basics. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and can learn at your own pace.

€65 per person for the entire workshop.

Registration and Other Offerings

In addition to our Quickstarter, A&F in Freiburg also offers regular dance classes, workshops, boot camps, private lessons, and our “6 Hours of Brazilian Zouk – Intensive Group Private Classes” covering Modules 1 through 6.

Spaces are limited. Book your ticket in advance and choose whether you’d like to be a leader or a follower.
