Singer-songwriter Felix Meyer, who started out as a street musician over ten years ago and has been bringing a mixture of worldview and poetry to the stage ever since, wrote a wondrous fairy tale in the mountains above Kyōto in early 2020. It is about the friendship between a hard-working magician who casts a spell on himself all too often and a cheeky raven who is always very determined and self-confident in exploring the relationship between the two. In the end, there are three of them and it is no longer clear whether this is a story about friendship in general, being a stranger in a foreign land, unconditional openness or love in particular.

The reading is opened, accompanied and concluded with instrumental pieces by pianist Johannes Bigge, which he recorded with the singer friend in 2021 for the album "Der Flaneur * Johannes Bigge spielt Lieder von Felix Meyer". At the end, the two usually don't miss the opportunity to play a small handful of encores from their joint programs of recent years.
