„Zuhause ohne Ort“ – Immersive Fotoausstellung von Svitlana Iziumska

How does war change our understanding of home? With the exhibition“Home Without a Place,”Ukrainian artistSvitlana Iziumskainvites viewers to explore, through photography and spatial design, the experiences of civilian life during war.

The starting point is a series of documentary photographs from Kharkiv. The exhibition leads visitors through three interconnected rooms: images of a city before the war, photographs of the destruction, and a walk-through installation reminiscent of the Kharkiv Metro—a place that became a refuge and temporary home for many people in the spring of 2022.

The exhibition combines documentary photography with a spatial installation and offers a poignant glimpse into loss, solidarity, and the question of what “home” means when a place is no longer safe.
