A humorous adventure in a time when anything seemed possible. It's about money and justice - and about what really counts in life: Friendship and family.
Halberstadt in the summer of 1990: Maren (Sandra Hüller), Robert (Max Riemelt) and Volker (Ronald Zehrfeld) have known and loved each other since childhood. Rather by chance, they find the GDR's millions stored there to rot in an old mine shaft, and the three smuggle out backpacks full of money.
