Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences is a state-recognized, privately-run university of the arts in Alfter near Bonn. Situated in a green location on the edge of the Kottenforst nature reserve, Campus I - Johannishof is home to courses in fine arts, eurythmy and drama. Regular exhibitions are held in the studio buildings. It is also home to the Hoftheater, the university's own theater venue, as well as the Alanus Café with a view over the Rhine Valley.

Opening times vary depending on the event and can be viewed at alanus.edu/events.

The Alanus Café is open Mon. to Fri. from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm.

In addition, the Alanus Café is open in summer until 28.09.2025 on Sun. from 11.00 to 17.00.
