The focus of BERLINARTPROJECTS' activities is on intensive collaboration with young artists; the gallery supports university graduates at the important stage of entering the art world. In doing so, BERLINARTPROJECTS works closely with selected artists, whom it accompanies and represents on a permanent basis. In addition, guest artists are regularly given the opportunity to present works. Founded in 2008, the gallery moved into premises on Potsdamer Strasse in 2014, in the immediate vicinity of numerous galleries as well as the Neue Nationalgalerie. BERLINARTPROJECTS holds annual solo exhibitions with guest artists in spring and fall for Gallery Weekend and ABC. Otherwise, the focus is on group exhibitions featuring the gallery's artists as well as regular collaborations with other artists. The result is a varied, interdisciplinary and young program, which is achieved by presenting the gallery's diverse artists and collaborating with promising emerging as well as renowned artists. Another important focus is the orientation towards contemporary positions from Berlin and Istanbul. This is expressed in the selection of artists as well as in the close connection to the Turkish art fair Contemporary Istanbul. In June 2012 BERLINARTPROJECTS opened a 250 sqm showroom under the name BAP//Istanbul in Tophane, Istanbul's trendy district, which is also home to the Istanbul Modern Museum and the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Artists such as Yasam Sasmazer, Ulrich Riedel, Ismail Necmi, Claudia Vitari, Jörg Lohse, Daniel Harms, Eda Soylu and Meike Zopf belong to the permanent artist roster and shape the gallery's program. The spectrum includes the media of sculpture, installation, painting and photography. Beyond the exhibition and gallery business, the represented artists are individually supported: This includes the conception of exhibitions, the cooperation with other galleries and institutions, the realization of catalog projects as well as the support of studios.
