In the brewhouse of the Kronen brewery, built in 1902 and one of Lüneburg's most striking industrial monuments, original objects such as the brewing kettle, the fermentation vat, the malt mills and much more can be viewed.

The Kronenbrauerei is the oldest known brewery in Lüneburg, first mentioned in a document in 1485, and all the brewmasters since then have been recorded. Of the more than 80 breweries in Lüneburg at one time, the Kronen brewery was the last one here in the city on its 500th anniversary.
