Club U in Vienna is one of the city's most iconic venues and has a place in Viennese nightlife history that no one will soon dispute. The club is located directly under the Otto Wagner Pavilion on Karlsplatz in the 4th district, in one of the city's most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, and it is precisely this combination of historic architecture and nightlife that makes the place so special.

Club U is not a huge mega-club, but a manageable, intimate location with a loyal regular clientele and a program aimed primarily at a young, music-loving audience. Electronic music, indie, alternative sounds: the club has a clear character and does not stand for any trend, but for an attitude.

The location on Karlsplatz is a real asset. Right at one of the most central subway intersections in Vienna, with the U1, U2 and U4 lines on the doorstep, it's easy to get here and easy to find your way home afterwards. The Otto Wagner Pavilion above, a café during the day, is a nice foretaste of the evening.

If you want to get to know Vienna by night and don't want to go to one of the faceless mainstream clubs, Club U is the place for you. A place with history, character and an atmosphere that cannot be replicated in newly built venues.
