Since 2008, Rietberg (between Paderborn and Münster) has been home to the "cultura" - a circular theater building that can hold around 750 spectators. The audience never sits more than 14 meters away from the stage. The cultura is a modern replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theater, which was built on the south bank of the Thames in London in 1599.
