Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum für Film und Fernsehen

The Stiftung Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum für Film und Fernsehen is one of Europe's leading institutions dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of audiovisual heritage. In its new, temporary quarters in the E-Werk in Berlin-Mitte, it invites visitors to a variety of encounters with film and television until the opening of a new film house. It will be showing experimental exhibitions, curated film series, productions from the television archive and the Film Restored festival. The Kinemathek reaches a wide audience with a varied educational and event program - as well as with the Retrospective and the Berlinale Classics, which it organizes as part of the Berlin International Film Festival. Archives and a specialized library make the Kinemathek an important place for science and research.
