The German National Library is Germany's central archive library and, with the German Museum of Books and Writing, the German Exile Archive 1933-1945 and the German Music Archive, is both an archive and a museum. With our services and offerings, we promote freedom of information and opinion and strengthen the central values of our democracy. Our collections include various sources and are open to all interested parties. This encourages critical thinking and inspiration.
