Germany's oldest techno club is finally opening its doors to you again. Opened in 1992 in the former Kronen-Brauerei in Connewitz, the club had to change location several times and finally closed its doors in 2023, as the location in Kurt-Eisner-Straße was to be demolished.

But now the time has finally come and the OG of German techno history can finally do what it does best again: Make you dance 💃🕺

Where in Leipzig is the new Distillery located?

From August 30, 2025, the Distillery can be found at its new location at Eggebrechtstraße 2, right next to Exhibition Hall 7 on the old exhibition grounds in Leipzig. The location is easily accessible by public transport - take streetcar lines 2 or 15 to the "Altes Messegelände" stop.

What types of music are played at the Distillery?

The Distillery traditionally focuses on techno and house - these genres have formed the musical foundation of the club since 1992. Over the years, the program has been expanded to include drum'n'bass, hip-hop and reggae. The organizers attach great importance to offering an authentic platform for electronic music without following short-lived trends.

What acts can I expect at the Distillery in Leipzig?

Here you will find a colorful selection of international headliners as well as hot newcomers from the underground. Sven Väth, Paul Kalkbrenner and Jeff Mills, among others, have played here in the history of this traditional club. In addition to pure DJ sets, there are live acts, small club concerts and, since 2013, regular poetry slams and other cultural events.
