Divine Bar Essen - Café | Bistro | Cabaret. Freshly tapped beer, exquisite wines and lots of art!

The DIVINE Bar Essen is the location in the heart of the Ruhr area, in Essen, a place that is programmatically dedicated to drag and travesty art. A café - bistro - cabaret - event venue is being created around it, which sees itself as a new meeting point for the cultural and night scene in Essen, as a platform with a special focus on the LGBTQIA+ scene.

In addition to the café and bar, there are two stages in the 150m2 store: A larger one with around 15m2 and a smaller one with solo performers* measuring just under 9m2. The stages, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offer opportunities for a wide variety of performances and mixed disciplines.

In addition to the stages, which are always visible during operation, the DIVINE Bar offers a backstage area in the basement that is not to be sneezed at. In addition to dressing rooms and places for the artists to stay, there is a costume and props store as well as a larger hall. This can be used in a variety of ways and, with a capacity of around 25 people, offers space for exhibitions, readings, performances or rehearsals.
