Since 1968, the DRIVE IN drive-in cinema in Essen has been delighting movie fans of all ages with the latest blockbusters and unforgettable film classics all year round.

With around 1,000 seats and digital projection on a screen with a projection area of 540 m², every movie lover gets their money's worth.

Since January 2023, the DRIVE IN drive-in cinema in Essen has had a new 4K projector of the latest generation, bringing state-of-the-art laser technology to the drive-in cinema.

With a light output like you've never experienced before, it produces razor-sharp and intensely bright images with rich contrasts and impressive image depth that put any conventional movie theater image in the shade!

Snacks, food and drinks are also provided! In our retro-style snack bar, you can enjoy American-style burgers and delicious finger food as well as popcorn, nachos and cozy blankets for a feel-good drive-in cinema experience.

For even more comfort, you can also borrow fan heaters, JBL Tuner XL radios and daytime running light covers from our snack bar free of charge.
