The world is coming apart at the seams - and we are right in the middle of it. A feeling that we all know right now and a feeling that makes us lonely. This makes encounters all the more important. Because thoughts and feelings need shared spaces, away from digital media, in a real togetherness.

The EDT is such a meeting place. A place of exchange and understanding where we can spend time together and engage in conversation. We want to be a theater for many and, with our productions, contribute to a society that is democratic, diverse, just and colorful. A world about which we can say: "That's right, thank you."
With the new season, we will literally open up the house and turn it into an all-day meeting space. We asked ourselves: "We have so much space, why are we only open in the evenings?" From now on, you can come to our newly designed foyer during the day to drink coffee, work, meet friends, do your homework or simply read a book.
