The Freilichtbühne Lübeck is a traditional open-air venue in the ramparts on the south-eastern edge of Lübeck's old town. It was opened in 1927 to celebrate the city's 700th anniversary of imperial freedom and is embedded in a historic bastion of Lübeck's fortifications. Today it offers a varied program of theater performances, concerts and cultural events for visitors of all ages.
