The open-air museum at Kiekeberg is located in the Black Mountains south of Hamburg in the idyllic Rosengarten. Over 40 historic buildings and gardens on a twelve-hectare open-air site tell of the culture and way of life in the Winsen marshes and the northern Lüneburg Heath. It is easily accessible via the A7 and A 261 highways, just five minutes from the HH-Marmstorf exit. The open-air museum is open all year round: Tuesdays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm and at weekends and on public holidays from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission costs 11 euros, under 18s are free.
