The Gleis 1 restaurant is centrally located in the KulturBahnhof Kassel, a versatile venue that not only attracts art and culture lovers. Gleis 1 combines a bar, lounge and restaurant and impresses with a successful combination of modern and retro-inspired design.

Thanks to its versatile concept, Gleis 1 appeals to a wide audience. Comfortable sofas invite you to linger, and there is always someone at the 14-meter-long bar for a sociable chat. Guests are treated to creative cross-over cuisine with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The flexible premises offer space for up to 600 people and are ideal for atmospheric celebrations, company dinners or a cozy meal à la carte. We also offer catering.

The lounge is a popular meeting place where the music remains discreet enough to hold conversations. Parties are held regularly in the adjoining club, where DJs play the latest music and the dance floor invites you to dance. We also offer dance classes: Discofox on Fridays and standard dances on Sundays from 3 to 4 pm. During the week there are courses in salsa, kizomba and swing.
