The Hauptmarkt in Nuremberg is a central square in the historic Old Town and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike. The square is surrounded by impressive architecture, including the Gothic Frauenkirche, which is a particular attraction with its ornate façade and the famous Männleinlaufen (a carillon).

Next to the Frauenkirche is the Schöne Brunnen, a richly decorated Gothic fountain with golden elements. Here you can spin a golden ring, which is said to bring good luck - a small tradition for many visitors. The main market serves as a location for weekly markets and festivals all year round, but it is especially during the Advent season that it transforms into the famous Christkindlesmarkt, one of the oldest and best-known Christmas markets in Germany.
