Heinrich-König-Platz is one of the most prominent locations in the city. Renovation work on Heinrich-König-Platz began in spring 2013 and was completed in May 2017. The spacious, barrier-free square has a new urban design, in which the two churches are once again placed in a stronger relationship to each other as identity-forming buildings. The quiet center of the square serves as an open space for movement and offers space for a variety of cultural uses such as city festivals, music events, various markets and much more.
