In 2002, young skateboarders founded the association with the intention of creating a weather-independent location for skateboarding, BMX and inline skating.

The skate hall is primarily used by children and young people from the district as an open meeting place. In addition, there are two other skate facilities outside the HEIZHAUS, which are also used intensively.
