The Herrenwyk Industrial Museum History Workshop is located in the former works department store of the blast furnace works, on the edge of the works housing estate built in 1906/1907. In an authentic location, the permanent exhibition "Life and Work in Herrenwyk" shows the history of the plant and its workers, whose working and living conditions are presented, especially in the 1920s and 1930s. A smaller permanent exhibition shows the history of the Flender shipyard and its workers. Another permanent presentation entitled "I only remember tears and sadness ..." deals with the fate of the tens of thousands of forced laborers and prisoners of war who had to work and live in terrible conditions in Lübeck's industry during the Second World War. In addition, two to three special exhibitions are shown each year, which deal with the history of industry and technology, contemporary and cultural history as well as topics relating to the history of the district.
