For over 30 years now, the Jazzhaus has not only been a unique club in the heart of the city of Freiburg, but is also one of the most renowned live music venues in Germany. With a varied program, the unique vaulted cellar offers a great atmosphere to feel good and celebrate. Since its conversion into an event venue in 1987, the former wine warehouse has quickly developed into a home for regional, national and international artists from a wide range of genres. The Jazzhaus is now run by Jazzhaus Freiburg GmbH, which was founded in 2001, and Jazzhaus Freiburg e.V., which organizes over 200 concerts and club nights every year. The Jazzhaus Freiburg has already been awarded the "APPLAUS" venue prize five times (2013, 2018, 2019/20, 2021, 2022) for its outstanding live music program by the State Ministry of Culture and Media.
