Galerie JesusChris is an independent art gallery and creative café in Essen's Südviertel district, founded by designers Jesús and Chris. The venue combines an exhibition space, design studio and café and acts as an open meeting place for local and national creative professionals. The founders' aim is to break away from the classic gallery concept and make art accessible in a low-threshold, lively and unconventional way.

JesusChris sees itself as a creative melting pot for contemporary art, design and spontaneous cultural formats. The name "JesusChris", a play on the first names of the owners, serves as a concise trademark of their open, humorous approach to art.
