Small women-run fair fashion concept store in Prenzlauer Berg, right in front of Mauerpark. Jyoti - Fair Works, an Indian-German fashion label, sells its own designs as well as small gift items from other women-run, sustainable brands.
Jyoti - Fair Works was founded in 2010 and, together with three Indian NGOs, runs its own sewing workshops in South India, where women from rural regions can receive training and permanent employment with fair working conditions as seamstresses. Jyoti also works with a small network of local weaving mills and cooperatives in India, which produce organic fabrics for her from 100% natural fibers - often entirely by hand and with the involvement of local craftspeople. Together with the label's mostly timeless and minimalist cuts, unique products are created here in small quantities, which are sold with a great deal of personal reference to the story of their creation. In addition to clothing, Jyoti - Fair Works also produces brass and silver jewelry, as well as smaller accessories.
