The Kammerspiele Wiesbaden was founded by theater professionals who, after many years of professional experience, left the state and municipal theaters to create their own production conditions that allow for a very personal, lively and artistic development. The concept is to reinterpret contemporary and socially critical plays and realize them with their own ideas.

The Kammerspiele Wiesbaden has already established itself with numerous in-house productions as an independent, professional theater with its own permanent venue in the neo-Gothic outbuilding of the Bergkirche Wiesbaden.
