The ceramics workshop is located in the Factory for Crafts, Culture and Ecology and is part of a non-profit association. As a public facility, it offers interested parties the opportunity to try out their creativity with clay. Covering an area of 90 square meters, the open workshop allows visitors to work, glaze and fire ceramic pieces independently. With ten pottery wheels and extensive equipment ranging from turning aids to a gas kiln, as well as expert supervision, the workshop is fully equipped.

Courses are offered for children and adults, for beginners and advanced students as well as for people with disabilities. Cooperation with institutions such as the Staufen Ceramics Museum, the Freiburg Adult Education Center, the Freiburg Youth Art School, the Freiburg Municipal Museums, the Kubus 3 project workshop and various schools and kindergartens creates a diverse range of courses and workshops.

Thanks to a barrier-free extension to the factory premises, the ceramics workshop is also easily accessible for people with disabilities.
