In the location's words:

The central project in Bremerhaven-Geestendorf is the redesign of Konrad-Adenauer-Platz and the surrounding areas.

The background to the project is the objective of developing not only the city center but also the district centers into economically attractive centers. In this way, the economic strength in Geestemünde is to be fundamentally improved and thus contribute to the economic strengthening of Bremerhaven as a whole. The strengthening of the central marketplace area initiated with the construction of the Grashoffstrasse service center, which was financed outside of Objective 2, is to be reinforced with this project.

In addition to the redesign of Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, further projects have been planned and implemented to achieve this goal. Location marketing and public relations complement the project.
