Your search for clues begins on the Werre, near the parking garage at the Lustgarten. The tranquil riverbank provides a surprisingly gloomy prelude and sets the mood for the mysterious atmosphere of the tour. From here, the route leads into the center of Detmold. The imposing Residential Palace, once the seat of the Lippe princes and still one of the town's most important buildings, rises up on the Schloßplatz square. History, power and symbolism are closely intertwined here.

The trail continues through Adolfstraße, where lovingly preserved half-timbered houses shape the typical character of Detmold. In small, winding corners such as Anna-Maria-Tintelnot-Twete, time seems to have stood still.
