The KunstHausWien - Museum Hundertwasser is located on the Danube Canal in Vienna's 3rd district and is the only building designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser in Vienna that is open to visitors 365 days a year. The building itself is already a work of art: curved floors, colorful ceramics and mosaics, barely straight lines and green plants integrated into the architecture characterize the unmistakable appearance.

The museum houses the world's largest permanent collection of works by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000). Key works of his paintings, original prints, tapestries, woodcuts, architectural models and objects from the field of applied art - such as stamps and flags - are presented on two exhibition levels.

The museum also reflects Hundertwasser's social commitment: objects such as a "humus toilet" or a constructed wetland illustrate his vision of a sustainable relationship between man and nature. Based on his work, the museum also shows contemporary art in the field of tension between man and the environment, accompanied by interdisciplinary discourses. The KunstHausWien is also considered Austria's first green museum.
