The Kunstverein Haus 8 e.V. has been based in the Atelierhaus in Anscharpark since November 2011. Through exhibitions, art events, international collaborations, supra-regional and interdisciplinary projects, the aim is to expand the production and presentation conditions for artists in the state capital of Kiel. The Kunstverein Haus 8 e.V. aims to promote the examination of contemporary art in Kiel, stimulate discussion and foster exchange with the citizens of Kiel.

Discussions on contemporary art issues are to be stimulated in artist talks and special events. The aim is to work closely with partners from the fields of design, business, education, science and the economy. Cooperation in cross-border projects with Scandinavian countries - especially Denmark - is a particular concern of Kunstverein Haus 8 e.V., as is the examination of current developments in contemporary ceramics and printmaking.

In addition to the Kunstverein Haus 8 e.V., the artists of the Atelierhaus, the Design-Initiative Nord e.V. and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Schleswig-Holstein also organize exhibitions and events in the Atelierhaus in Anscharpark.

To support the activities of the association, it is possible to become a supporting member of Kunstverein Haus 8.
