LiBReTTo!

In the location's words:

The LiBReTTo! theater is a colorful association of theater enthusiasts who have dedicated themselves to artistic amateur dramatics. It has existed in various constellations since 15.01.1998. It is run by the non-profit association LiBReTTo! e. V. The members work exclusively on a voluntary basis.

Year after year, the association's various ensembles put on their own diverse program of dramatic and comedic shows and musical comedies.
Until 31.12.2020, the association ran its own small 50-seat theater in the Dortmund-Wellinghofen district, which was very popular over the years. It was therefore all the sadder that the location had to be abandoned as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the association's activities and performances had to be relocated to the digital space. Until a new "analog" venue was found, the ensembles greeted audiences in the virtual theater with audiovisual recordings and live productions from their own sound and green screen studio.

Since April 2022, LiBReTTo! has had a new home in Dortmund-Aplerbeck. Although there is significantly more space than before, the LiBReTTo! deliberately remains a 50-seat theater. A dance school has been added to the program.
