The LUNA - Kinder- & Jugendzentrum der Sportfreunde Sennestadt is an open house for children and young people in Bielefeld Sennestadt. Sportfreunde Sennestadt e.V. has been running the facility since 1997. In accordance with the Child and Youth Welfare Act (SGB VIII) and the child and youth development plan of the city of Bielefeld, young people between the ages of 6 and 27 are at the center of LUNA's educational activities.

LUNA offers young people the freedom to organize their own leisure activities. The focus is on the Open Door. This is a free offer in the afternoon and evening, which can be attended without registration and is always voluntary. We want the children, teenagers and young adults living in Sennestadt to have a happy time at LUNA - free, according to their own ideas, without the pressure and stress of everyday life. We are convinced that this "good time" in our house has a positive influence on the time of growing up.

We encourage children and young people from different cultural backgrounds to get to know and understand each other. Within the scope of our possibilities, we also make our offers inclusive. In addition, our educators are available to provide advice and support on everyday issues (arguments with friends, lovesickness, later career choices, etc.).

Our core pedagogical competence is professional relationship work in low-threshold settings. Our methodological focus is on the use of digital media and exercise programs.

Movement:
We have a large repertoire of exercise options - whether skating, gymnastics and various ball games in the hall or building and romping in the exercise room. The adjacent Sennestadtteich pond is also ideal for canoeing in the summer months.

Media:
We have PCs and consoles for gaming and testing games, watching YouTube or producing your own videos. We are also part of the gaming network and are involved in the Bielefeld e-sports league, the Bielefeld Gamesday and offer activities on Minecraft and other games.
