Since 2017, the Mad Monkey Room has been the heart of Berlin's comedy scene. Here, up-and-coming talents take the stage for the first time, experienced stand-up comedians hone their new jokes, and occasionally even a comedy star known throughout Germany drops by.

You can look forward to first-class stand-up comedy every weekday! At the open mic events, you'll be up close and personal when fresh material is born. Mix shows and solo performances let you see your favorite comedians perform live in an intimate atmosphere.

Founded in 2017 by siblings Nina and Nico Böhm, the Mad Monkey Room initially had its home in a smaller space at Dunckerstraße 72. The former bar quickly became a popular comedy hotspot, and in May 2021 they moved to Danziger Straße 1, where they now house larger and more modern space.

The focus here is clearly on stand-up comedy, and the club takes its cues from American models. The larger stage is ideal for solo performances, mix shows and more, while a smaller room, called the "living room," is available every day of the week for open mic nights.

The Mad Monkey Room keeps the Berlin underground spirit, just in a bigger and improved version!
