The MiR.LAB is the research laboratory of the Musiktheater im Revier (MiR) in a store in Gelsenkirchen's city center. The MiR.LAB is an open space dedicated to the research, mediation and production of experimental music theater. Here, the combination of music theater, digital culture and social participation is tested. The MiR.LAB develops new formats that combine stage art with digital technologies and participatory formats. Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in the Neue Wege program, the City of Gelsenkirchen and Sparkasse Gelsenkirchen, MiR.LAB is a place where theater is not only performed, but also reinvented together with people from the city.

Unter der Woche ist im MiR.LAB zwischen 10 und 17 Uhr meistens jemand da und unsere Türen stehen jederzeit für sie offen. Projekte sind hier allerdings nur, wenn diese auch angekündigt sind.
