MOZARTHAUS VIENNA

Mozarthaus Vienna is a museum in the heart of Vienna, located at Domgasse 5 in the 1st district, not far from St. Stephen's Cathedral. It is located in the so-called "Figaro House" and houses the only surviving Viennese apartment of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart, where the composer lived with his family from 1784 to 1787.

It was also the largest and most elegant apartment Mozart ever lived in - and the place where he was particularly productive: important works such as the opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" and three of the six "Haydn Quartets" were composed here.

The museum comprises four exhibition levels and presents Mozart's life and work in a playful way, with a special focus on his years in Vienna from 1781 to 1791. In addition to the historic apartment, visitors can expect multimedia installations, an educational program for young and old, a museum store and a concert hall for events and concerts.
